Glass allows me to capture and preserve movement and moments. I started with woodworking but fell in love with the movement of glass. The expansion into glass was natural to me because I’m the 4th generation in my family to work with glass. My family owned a technical glass business for the last 3 generations making thermometers and hydrometers since 1905. I also bring my experience in computer science and mathematics into my work, using geometry and symmetry to achieve beauty.

In 2015, my wife and I rescued Art by Fire, the glassblowing studio in our small town of Issaquah, WA from closing when the founders retired. I work at Art by Fire as an artist and owner along with my career in the tech industry.
