What to Wear and Class Policies
What to wear for glassblowing or lampworking
For your safety, only all-cotton clothes and shoes that completely cover your feet are allowed while working with hot glass (for ex. a cotton t-shirt, jeans and sneakers).
Short-sleeve shirts are usually more comfortable than long-sleeve shirts.
When do I pay?
Payment is required when you make your reservation except for the 6 week glassblowing class.
For the 6 week glassblowing class - a 50% deposit is due when your reservation is made. The balance is due the day before your first class and will be automatically charged.
Bookings are final and will not be refunded. Classes and experiences may only be rescheduled for medical emergencies.
Classes and events: If you feel unwell, please do not come to class. Reach out to us and we will reschedule you to a later class or issue a gift certificate that you can use for a later class or a purchase.
Due to higher than normal fluctuations in the availability of glass color, we reserve the right to substitute shades/colors for unavailable colors.
Art by Fire is a kid-friendly place and therefore is a drug and paraphernalia free facility. We're sorry but we won't teach you to make paraphernalia even if it is legal.
When do I get the glass I made?
Your glass is ready to take home 2 business days after you make it. Thursday items are ready to pick up on the following Saturday. Items made on Saturdays are ready the following Wednesday. Items made on Sundays are ready the following Thursday. (Art by Fire is closed Mondays and Tuesdays to reload our furnace).
